Different metrics settle over different timescales, and knowing roughly how long to watch keeps you from overreacting.
- HRV and resting heart rate are best read over 7 to 14 days. Day-to-day they are noisy; over a couple of weeks a genuine direction emerges.

Expect variability. A jagged line is healthy and normal. Smooth, identical readings every day would actually be the strange thing.
